NBA is officially back on today! During the All-Star break downtime we added a few new features to our DK and FD Lineup Optimizers:

  • › Adjust Individual Player Exposure
  • › Chart On/Off Filters for Teammates

Adjust Individual Player Exposure:

We've had the ability to adjust global max exposure levels (ie, no players allowed in more than 70% of lineups) for a while now, but now we've added the ability to adjust individual player exposure levels.

Right now this is only available for large screen and tablet layouts, but we'll be rolling out a design for this that works on mobile small screen mode in a future update.

This feature works in a pretty straightforward way, the default is all players are set to 100% max exposure, meaning they can appear in all your lineup builds. You can dial a player down to whatever number you like, to limit what % of lineups builds they can appear in.

For example, setting James Harden to 50% means that if you build 10 lineups, he will at most appear in 5 lineups.

Two important things to note:

  • 1. Individual player adjustments override global settings
  • ex: if you set global max to 50%, but Harden to 90%, Harden 90% will override
  • 2. Locking players overrides everything. A locked player will appear in 100% of lineups.

Chart On/Off Filters for Teammates:

We've added a filter to the player charts to only include/exclude games where a teammate played or was out. For the current roster that's shown this gets updated as soon as injuries and starting lineups are announced, to make it easy to filter against who is actually playing in tonight's game.

We've had a version of this working for a little while now but made a few improvements to it over the break:

  • > Can now filter in/out traded players
  • > The filter shows up as a popup on larger screen layouts

We also made a few smaller updates, one for example being the DVP chart will default to the last 30 days instead of the full season (since rosters have changed post trade deadline and there's teams in tank mode playing a lot differently than the start of the year). You can still use the dropdown to show full season DVP, it's just now the default is last 30 days.

There's one more major feature we couldn't fit into this update that'll be rolling out in the next 2 weeks, as well as some more updates coming to the Player Prop tools as well. If you have any feedback or ideas for new features, drop us a note through our feedback form
