The 2026 NFL season is here and for the 11th year of Daily Fantasy Fuel we've rolled out some of our biggest updates yet!
When it comes to our Classic contest optimizers, the new features that are now live for season start:
- › Player Charting Improvements
- › Saved & Load Build Templates
- › Multi-Team Stacking
- › More Low Ownership Controls
- › TD odds shown in Player Pool List
- › New Build Rules
Player Charting Improvements:
Player charts have received a major upgrade for the season. You can now add a secondary stats chart to see the trend on things like target share and QB completion rates. You can then filter the chart by different player stats now to narrow in on conditions that match the current game environment.
These new player stat filters have both season averages and player prop lines included on them, to give you some range references when adjusting the filters. From there you can adjust and save a projection, or lock in / boost / exclude that player in your lineup.
Save & Load Build Templates:
With our list of build rule settings growing more and more, we've added an easy way to save your settings and re-use them across different slates
You can now save your build rules to templates, to easily switch between build rules and see how they change your lineups. You can save multiple templates and give them each an easy to remember name.
Templates that you create on desktop/laptop are saved to your account, so they'll be there when you pick things up again from a mobile device (or vice-versa).
Note that the only settings not saved to templates are slate specific teams (ie, 6 selected teams in a stack), and specific players you've excluded from the Captain slot (for showdown slates).
To learn more about this new feature, see our Build Templates tutorial
Multi-Team Stacking:
We've expanded stacking for classic slates to now support multi-team stacking.
Last season you had to pick a specific team to stack for each build, now you can select multiple teams and the optimizer will look across all of them for the highest projected stacks.
By default if certain team stacks are projected to be much better than others, the optimizer might not end building lineups from all the teams you selected. You can use the stack exposure controls to set a limit per team and force the optimizer to distribute the teams more evenly.
To learn more about creating stacks, see our NFL stacking tutorial
More Low Ownership Controls:
We've added some more capability when it comes to including projected low-owned players in your builds.
You can now choose how many players to include below a certain projected threshold (ie, 2 players less than 10% owned), as well as choose from which positions to pull them from.
This lets you target higher upside WR/RB positions instead of having QBs and DSTs filling that low-owned criteria.
TD odds shown in the player pool list:
For the player pool listing we've brought in 1+ Touchdown odds for all players.
Because pretty much all positions participate in 1+ TD odds (except for Kickers), they serve as a useful quick-glance stat to tie-break and gauge how the market sees certain players. We refresh TD odds roughly every 5 minutes or so along with the other player props we surface.
Because TDs account for roughly 25% of WR/TE/RB Fantasy Points scores, there's going to be a degree of correlation between TD odds, FPTS projected, and projected ownership. A punt play that is projected at 1 or 2 FPTS likely has +3000 or longer odds, and a chalky high owned play might have odds in the -130s or higher to score a TD.
One important thing to note, these are all odds for Rush + Reception TDs (Anytime TDs), and not Pass TDs. Which is why for quarterbacks they will be longer odds as it's only Rush TDs which participate for them in these odds.
New Build Rules:
We've added a number of new settings to build rules, all of which can be saved as part of reusable settings templates.
1. You can now set max-exposure at a stack level. If for example you put 4 teams in your stack and run a 100 lineup build, with 25% max exposure you will get exactly 25 lineups for each team.
2. You can now set a level of randomness for each build, to get more varied lineups. If for example you set randomness to 10%, each projection will be assigned a random multiplier of up to +/- 10%.
3. In addition to global exposure controls, there are now global position exposure controls for QB and DST positions for some more fine-tuning. This is in addition to being able to set individual players exposure level.
There's one feature still in testing that just barely didn't make the cut, but should be launching ahead of week 2. We are planning to open up stacking further, so that instead of just QB/WR/WR stacks, you'll be able to select any combination of players to include.
There's lots of enhancements being actively worked on, including lots of new things for the player props tools side of things, but if you have any feedback or ideas for new features, drop us a note through our feedback form
