We've added some more functionality when it comes to fitting in low owned players in your builds.
The 2 new controls added:
- › Choosing "Exact" vs "At Least"
- › Targeting an Ownership Range
Choosing "Exact" vs "At Least":
Previously the only setting available was to target "At Least" a certain number of low-owned players. You could set build rules to give you 1+ low-owned players, but nothing prevented more from coming in than you wanted.
That's where the new 'Exact' setting comes in, where you can now pick an ownership range (ie, players 5% - 15% projected ownership), and specify exactly how many of those players you want in each lineup.
A scenario where you might want to apply this is on Showdown slates, where say you think the chalkier star players will be optimal, but you're just looking for one spot to be different from the field to free up salary and not be over-exposed to 2 low-owned punt plays in a single lineup.
You can now set build rules to give you exactly a certain number of players that fit your ownership criteria, and no more than that. The "At Least" setting is also selectable and can be switched to for more relaxed build rules.
Targeting an Ownership Range:
Previously you could target projected ownership below a certain level (ie, players below 10%), but you couldn't set the minimum level. So this could result in scenarios where the optimizer might pick players 1% or 2% owned, that often are very long-shot punt plays.
You can now set a range instead, ie, 5% to 15% owned, and leave out some of those less-viable long shots. Typically the optimizer wasn't going to select those truly low-owned 0% plays because their projection is often very low, but there's times where especially on showdown slates at the $200 or $400 salary range they can come into play.
The new range setting gives you added flexibility to better manage your build exposure.
Both of these settings get saved when using settings templates, so you can set them up once and then save them in a reusable template across different slates.
